The Citizen Involvement Program in Douglas County offers the opportunity for citizens to become involved in the decision making process as it affects land use planning.
The Douglas County Emergency Medical Services Committee is a nine member advisory group to the Board of Commissioners and Ambulance Service Area administrator on County ambulance franchises, services, ordinance, plan and ambulance service program administration.
The Douglas County Historic Resource Review Committee was created by the Board of County Commissioners to advise the Board about the County’s historic resources.
Planning Advisory Committees advise and make recommendations to the decision making authority on individual land use applications and on County-initiated changes to the Comprehensive Plan.
